The Ward Royal Palette Baby Shower

When these two first came to us they wanted something uniquely theirs that felt royal to celebrate the arrival of their very first little princess Sienna. After diving into their story, we found out that Darnell proposed to Varjorie with a painting he drew himself and from there the concept evolved in our minds to eventually become “The Ward Royal Palette Baby Shower.” They loved the idea and the virtual design and this past weekend we got to bring that design to live. Take a look at the oversize balloon installation to brand the entrance featuring a “bear version” of daddy (shirt included) with the very special painting that started both the road to baby and to this design. Stay tuned to keep up with for all the fantastic details of this story including a miniature fairy baby princess painting station that will make your heart melt with cuteness.

The unique spilled paint roses centerpieces were perfect for the theme with a touch of white feathers and whimsical butterflies with delicately painted wings. Each table had a different quote highlighting the relationship and importance of art to kids to inspired the guests to do more art with their kids. The plates were paint palettes that guests were encouraged to use to create their very own Food Palette masterpiece. We wanted to autograph the floor plan with the baby’s initials: SW (Sienna Ward) So we picked two tables to create special rose centerpieces that created that feel. We combined the sweetheart table with the dessert station into one giant backdrop for this design. The dessert station was a mixture of modern with glass pieces to serve as the pedestals and also delicate details with flowers, decor pieces and details for the candy container, apples, cupcakes and the rest of the treats.

Each table, including the sweetheart table had the plate setting styled as a diaper complete with silver crown detail safety pins worthy of any little princess. To complete the concept with a 3D oneness painting station and a baby book station where each guest could write their own blessing to the baby. So every night at storybook time, Varjorie & Darnell can say a special heartfelt blessing over their baby from friends and family.
