El Jalisco Restaurant – Dia De Los Muertos

Day of the Dead is a traditional Mexican Holiday celebrating loved ones who have passed away and remembering them to welcome their spirits’ return during the holiday. Family is at the heart of El Jalisco Restaurants, and this year, they wanted to celebrate this day with all their customers. When they called us to create something special for it, the concept developed into creating Day of the Dead Dreamland. As the journey begins in this magical Studio Heart design, you are welcomed by a Sugar Skull desk under a chandelier of marigolds framed by two custom-made altars. One features a life-size Catrina complete with ofrendas, and the second features a colorful arrangement of elements that are the backdrop to a peak into their family history, featuring personal photos of family members who have passed away along with some of their favorite food and drinks. As you move to the indoor bar, you can dine under a ceiling of marigolds as two sugar skulls welcome you or head outside to the patio when a collection of colorful Catrinas and Cathrinus dressed in their full regalia await you while the row of colorful banners dance to the whims of the wind.
After two days of installation, the stage was set, and everyone enjoyed the design and learning about the cultural traditions of this day. Add the fantastic food, drinks, music, and activities, and it was a night to remember that left everyone a little crazy with joy 🙂 This will definitely become a yearly favorite for all their customers. We look forward to the 2024 edition.
