Funky Pop Color Explosion Birthday

The freshness and fun of a rainbow of colors is something that, as children, we all enjoyed. As we grow up, our tastes get more sophisticated and elaborate, which is a style we love designing in. However, 2020 brought about a creative need to explore a more playful fun type of design where colors and textures were the keys. The idea for this birthday design pulled inspiration from childhood when imagination was the lens we looked at the world through, back to that time when color, fun, beauty, and brightness were all we saw in the world. It was all about a fun, funky explosion of colors with a node to childhood, but all the wine and food perks of being an adult.

The mixture of patterns on the balloon backdrop brought back childhood candy memories and, mixed with pop texture balloons, create a modern sculptural feel to the installation. The fresh flowers were a mixture of funky shapes, styles, and colors that felt interesting and fun. The lamps were a fun, colorful nod to pop culture, and the pattern reminded us a little of what 2020 felt like, a constant “BAM, BOOM, POW, CRASH, ZAP” of emotions that ran all over the place. Shout out to Food Glorious Food; their artsy private room was the perfect space for this intimate celebration and especially since it was a last-minute idea to pull this together. They let us take over the space to create this transformation, and pair with amazing food, great drinks, and good service made the night special. Thank you to all the friends that joined us, for all the wonderful presents, but especially for taking the time to celebrate with us. Your love and affection always fill our hearts with joy.
