We meet Andrea & Linda through a mutual friend and immediately we could see their passion for such a wonderful organization as Ability 1st. They had to rescheduled their Viva La Fiesta Fundraising Event due to hurricane Irma and were trying to get all the pieces back together. After reading about the work the organization does to help individual with disabilities live independent lives, we knew we had to help. So we set about designing the perfect look for the event in just a few days.
Since we had less than a week and the purpose of the event was to raise funds, we came up with the idea of thinking about the event space as a large Hispanic market with many items of all kind for sale and a courtyard food space arranged in colorful surrounding with food and wine to keep the patrons happy and interested. We went about designing the floor plan to fit that concept based on the items they had for sale: from a wine pull that inspired the wine fiesta tent that headed the floor plan to the colorful centerpieces in each table inspired by the items they had on sale at the silent auction from luxury trips, to spa packages, to jewelry, to gift cards for everything from restaurants, to markets and blueberry picking. Each table centerpiece was inspired by a category of this items and related them back to the auction items to create more interest and more sales while keeping that Hispanic stand market display feel. The design was beautiful and with great food from Paisley’s Café and music from the Maharajah Flamenco Trio and great items for sale the evening was a wonderful success we look forward to been part of it every year.
