All White & Metal Rehearsal Dinner

The wedding day is usually the main focus on your wedding journey and you take every measure to make the experience a memorable one for all your guests. But the events leading up to the wedding day, which actually involves the people closest to you are often overlooked or downplayed. On your wedding day, your attention will be mostly on each other and between the events and the number of guests you probably won’t have a lot of time to spend with each individual person. The Rehearsal Dinner is the last chance to share an intimate relaxed moment with the family and friends closest to you before the big day.
Themes are often though off as elaborate over the top concepts, but they can also be a simple color palette that inspires your whole experience as it was for us in this case with an All White & Metal Monochromatic color palette. Family style is a great layout for small parties, but that doesn’t mean you can’t create a wow factor. This design had high, dimension and plenty of textures which are key to keeping a monochromatic event design interesting. The metal table with a white taffeta runner was the perfect surface to create an oversized tabletop lamp chandelier with metal pillars, feathers, and an additional layer of glass that we carried through the design to make it modern and light. Delicate white hanging glass candle holder illuminated the oversized tabletop feather lamp with gentle candlelight while the white LED illuminated the  lampshades. Fresh flowers always provide immediate elegance and style to any room, in this case we went with beautiful white flower centerpieces with feather accents to echo the lamps shades.White bud bases became a favor holder for chocolates that were placed in each plate setting. Individual place cards with their own napkin envelope allowed each guest not only to find their seat, but also feel personally welcomed by first name.
The location, the theme, and the menu are all part of the experience, but it’s the people closest to you that make this night special. Create a moment to personally interact with each guest. For example, you can go around the table and let each guest make a small speech. If you know some of your crowd is shy, then set a theme for the speech like: “Share your favorite memory of us” or “When did you know we were made for each other.” That way your guests can draw from personal experience and share heartfelt stories you might not even be aware of which will make the night a memory to cherish in your wedding journey. As a final detail, if you want to take it one step further and are doing formal invitations or even digital invitations, consider setting a dress code like an all white-dress code would be perfect for this theme.
