5 Day Orlando Couples Retreat

For this project we transformed an Orlando Mansion into a Private 5-Stars Couple’s Resort #StudioHeart Style. 5 Days, 5 transformations, 5 parties, and nonstop in-between activities turned this property into an all-inclusive couple’s paradise for relaxing, connecting, growing closer together while having fun every night. We welcomed each guest into their suite with customized door hangers with their name and the date of their marriage, a customized welcome tray with fresh strawberries, chocolate  and champagne, customized in-suite snacks, an itinerary for the stay and custom Mr & Mrs. robes with sleepers. Downstairs the counter was customized with a 24hr tea, coffee, and snack station for snacks.

It was a peach inspired menu that gave birth to this welcome poolside BBQ dinner design idea for our client’s 5-days couple retreat in Orlando, Fl. We started with a crisp white tablecloth gave freshness to the design while the peach chair covers mixed with the wicker chairs gave it an appearance of informal luxury. Fresh green baby hydrangeas made the centerpieces while floating candles adorned with sculpting grass gave a softness to the setting. The custom printed menus in brown paper bags that held the cloth napkins and the bamboo plates added a natural tone element to the table setting. Chef @chefkylehires, our private chef for the week, kicked off the 5-days of events with grilled deliciousness.

After breakfast Thursday and Friday the couples went over session that could help discuss issues and help them work on connection, understanding and anything else each couple wanted to share and get help with in a safe space.

The second night for our couples’ retreat in Orlando, Fl was Hollywood Movie Night. Red, Black & White with white ostrich feathers, roses, crystals and all the glitz and glam straight from the red carpet. Our couples came out in style and some of their favorite movie couples made an appearance like Mr. & Mrs. Obama and Prince Akeem from Samunda. They had a blast during cocktail hr, Check Kyle from Atlanta’s The Afterglow Experience and his team killed in the kitchen every night to delight both regular diets and our vegetarians as well.

We had prepared a pajama movie night at the of the night for couple’s that wanted to join at the home’s movie theater.

We transformed the basketball court into a private spa in the house and Friday morning started with a Spa breakfast and massages before they headed to the couple’s sessions.

A day of reflection and analysis called for a night of fun to enjoy the new connections made and celebrate the progress made over the last two days. So on Friday night, NOLA’s exuberant colors and textures came alive for us in Orlando, Fl when we turned our table center into a Mardi Gras street with floats of peacock feathers, fresh flowers, masks, beads, hats and more to line up and light up our design for the night. The gold, blues, turquoise, purple, Fuschia, and lime greens made for a feast for the eye that delighted from every angle and down to every detail, including the plate settings and place cards

Saturday morning, we were getting ready to transform the house for a large birthday party that night. After breakfast, the couples broke into the group. We had arranged vehicles to pick them up and take them shopping while we worked on the transformation. It gave us time for a complete clean-up, refreshing all the suites, and arranging a special present of customized couple’s shirts to wear Sunday for each of the couples. The Kente-Fest Birthday was a full-on event with many details, so we share those in a separate story since it was not strictly part of the intimate couple’s retreat experiences. Sunday morning after breakfast, the couple’s got to wear their custom shorts and enjoy a chilled afternoon of games and gifts. We had prepared two parting gift packages: a couple’s spa retreat for an intimate, relaxed night at home and a travel gift package to encourage each couple to take a private couple’s trip.

The best way to end the couples’ retreat trip was with a Sunday Grace Al Fresco Dinner to thank all the lessons learned, the shared memories, and the lifetime bonds created. The design for this set was plentiful, colorful, and full of brightness to send everyone on the road with a burst of positive energy.
