Melissa & Mathew’s Vintage Tropical Wedding – Santa Rosa Beach Wedding Photograp

A few days after the engagement, we were back at the beach to shoot Melissa and Mathew’s Santa Rosa Beach Wedding. There was such a feeling of joy and celebration for this two. All you had to do was look at Melissa or Mathew and see pleasure radiate from them. Even the little storm that decided to pour a few showers before the cermony turned into a blessing, since it went away fast and left behind a gorgeous sky texture and colors that were a dream to photograph! That will be coming in part two, but first we wanted to share a little of the first part of their wedding, including Melissa’s elegant dress which made her shine even more with understated glamour and total sexiness!

Melissa’s choice of dress create a beautifully sexy silhouette, and the fabric of the dress totally capture and reflected the natural light to create a natural glow around her. This next 3 shots are some of our favorites and totally natural light no flash. We love working with natural light to create drama and interest.

Part 2 coming soon!

Keisha & LaClarence’s Reality Show Engagement Sneak Preview – Tallahassee Videography

Keisha & LaClarence’s Reality Show Engagement Guestbook – Tallahassee Engagement Photography

We introduced Keisha & LaClarence’s deluxe engagement session part 1 and part 2 a couple of post back. We decided to use the concept of a reality show and aspects that would have to do with that to inspire us through the session since friends and family are always telling them: “You guys should have your own reality show” The video component of their story will come a little later, now we wanted to share their engagement guestbook. When it came to their engagement book we applied the session concept in a unique way by creating a to do list that our two reality show stars had to follow to launch their show. From pitching the show to the networks to start with, to receiving an award for a successful show at the end, and everything in between from advertising the show, first taping, show reviews and more.
Each page displays one of those steps first outlined in the introduction and utilizes graphical element to blend with their photos from the engagement to together tell the story of how our couple lived through that step in their to do list. The concept was as modern and unique as the final product turn out to be. We enjoyed the process of translating a part of their personalities into a design concept that fitted this two perfectly and then executing our vision for the book to perfectly fit into the “Crystal Raindrops Modern Rooftop Bash” Design Concept we created for their August wedding at The Duval. This is just a little preview of what is to come in that design which we started with their Modern Logo and VIP Key Card Save-The-Date and will continue with their modern 3D invitation coming to the blog soon.

Melissa and Mathew’s Engagement Part 2 – A Beachside Stroll – Seaside Beach Photography

Melissa and Mathew’s Seaside engagement started with a French Quarter Stroll with lots of interesting architecture and artistic touches we had to work into the shots. The second part of their engagement was pure fun at the beach with a beautiful sunset. We loved Melissa’s choice of dress and jewelry. The blue color poped and the light flowy summer dress moved with the breeze and it was perfectly complemented with lights tone of blue in Mathew’s shirt. One of the most interestinf things about this particular sunset was the difference in ambience lighting and tone created by the direction of shooting. Shooting toward the sun we got great yellow/ light orance lights ray to work with versus shooting with the sun at our backs gave us great intense sunset orange light and tone to work with. The fact this two had a lot of fun made it perfect to be playful, and did we mentioned the water was heavenly and warm.

At the end of the session, this two decided to have a little fun with a little “Lawrence of Arabia” play. Even the moon came out to play. If you look close in the sand to the left you can see a little shadow portrait of our crew;)

At the end of the session Melissa and Mathew treat us to a fabulous meal at Bud and Alleys. If you are in Seaside you have to try their food it is yummy. Their Seared Alaskan Halibut, and their Grilled Gulf Grouper were to die for with a nice cool glass of white wine it was the perfect end to the day for us all to relax, and enjoy. We also got to know part of Mathew’s family that was in town including his mom whom performed their ceremony, so it was a little preview for their St. Rosa Beach wedding that is coming up in the next few post to the blog. We cannot wait to share all the glamorous shots we got including some “to die for lighting” play at the beach with a wonderful sky texture that a little stormed left behind as a present for this two and then get ready to get down with some major fun. Theirs was certainly a celebration with lots of food, great wine, and a live band.

Tina & Nick’s Uptown Meets Downtown Deluxe Engagement Guestbook – Tallahassee Wedding Photography

We shared Nick and Tina’s engagement photos part 1 and part 2 and their engagement video story which was a great success at the wedding and also shared a small preview of the Sophisticated Harlem Night of Glamour wedding we designed and captured for them, and there is lots more to come from that. We had one element of design from their engagement we wanted to shared: their custom guestbook. We designed the book for a modern/glamour look for the guest to sign at the wedding. Each page is designed to represent a piece of their dating history including the first phone, date with cocktail and drinks, being whisked away for a romantic day, a simple walk in the park and fun with dancing and golf, to end with a perfect-for-each-other, fade-into-the-sunset-as-the-saxo-player plays a romantic tune page. We used silhouettes design elements to give the book an old elegant glamour feel that perfectly fitted with their wedding theme.
